Reflection:
I felt that fresher's day was the wonderful time to know each other and self well, and to work together. there was a mixed experience because the group I had been practicing, hardly know each other but we did beautiful program. it's taught me to be patient with any level of groups. the program was successful, good, and interesting. the best thing to learn was opinions of different people and accept all the suggestions put forward according to me. it costs a lot to make each one understand and give respect equally. it was quite helpful and made me feel that I go to adjust with everyone and everytime. secondly, it also helped me to be more confident and discipline in my way of going and commenting. one thing touch me about the program was that 100 persent participation and hardworking of each teams. there was a lot to learn from this event father Thomas rightly said that we are to play important role in the life of a student in order to build up our nation. similarity a must take up my current responsibility well and to do it honestly. the dance session was the great fun time which made me forget about myself and get totally involved in it. the photo session also made me feel comfortable and enjoyed each others company.

Conclusion:
the freshers day went on smoothly and ended up with a great fun and learning. it met its on going purpose and created more friendly and easy going feeling atmosphere around US. the event was in fact very good and balanced. I appreciate for the moment we were left without supervisor just to enjoy that particular time. this experience do made impact on each one of us. by using that learning and experience we can make our forthcoming events and study really thoughtful, fruitful and successful. the day was awesome. the fresher's day came out to be interactive, active and dynamic. thus the event brought Smiles on our faces and unforgettable memories.

A Seminar on 5th August on the occasion of centenary of Champaran movement

 Introduction

on the occasion of centenary of Champaran Satyagraha, in Saint Xavier's College of Education Patna observed a day on the relevance of Gandhi addressing education.  the purpose of this event was to see how GandhI's ideas and visions are still relevant at present education.99 the event was held on 5th August 2017 in the college auditorium. there were many invited guests from other colleges to attend this seminar.

Description:

the programme began at around 9:30 a.m. the chief guest was professor Ajay Kumar Singh Registrar of a k u escorted by principal father Thomas. there were students, teachers, and coordinators also present in this program. the program was kicked off with a prayer service. there was lightening of the lamp in front of GandhijI's photo, readings from holy books and a prayer dance. there then was Vaishnav Jan Palan Hare song end of the prayer service.

father Thomas our principal welcome the gathering and set the tone of the program. in his speech he said Gandhiji is a model and way of hope at the present time. he was not an Era or age but he is humanity forever. every human being must experience that change within his or her want it to see in the world first.

the next spoke person was professor Ajay Kumar Singh made a great impact on students by yelling east or west St. Xavier is the best. in his talk he said Gandhi is a medicine today for a fast moving Lifestyle. by his life Gandhi set the example that if we have the willpower, success is not very far away. this willpower made him Mahatma from simple Mohandas. professor Ajay Prakash Singh also stress on GandhI's vision for education.

after the main speaker of the event there was MS Nimisha presented GandhI's life and work giving connection to education. Simran Agarwal, first year B.Ed student Express their views on Gandhi. she spoke about the Journeys (Africa experience letter to India) of Mahatma Gandhi and his contribution  in the society and education. in her Hindi speech Gitanjali Kumari m ed student mentioned Gandhiji as a casual teacher by his thoughts and way of his simple life.

there was also a Inter College drawing competition in honour of Gandhi. there were students from different colleges too. in the drawing competition Pooja (Student Of Women College Patna) stood first, Indrani (St Xavier College of Education) 2nd and Ujjwal Kumar manage to secure third place.

to mark this day in a very special way st.Xavier's students performed awesome skits based on Gandhi by the four college houses. Each house tried to put GandhijI's ideology of education and social values through the skits. The students worked hard and prepared skits in a few days . house tagore by fulfilling all the conditions came first, jakir house second, and aurobindo-gandhi shared third place.

There was also prize and certificate distribution end of the programme . each participant was awarded with a participating certificate . our senior teacher Mrs. Madhu Singh was the master of ceremony and the anchor was first year B.Ed student affreen naz. The program was coordinated by sirs sushil Kumar and Vikramjeet.  Our other teachers also present in this seminar.

Reflection:

The programme has been very useful to me. I learnt more about Gandhi, his Champaran journing was something new to me. I had never heard that Gandhi stayed here a long time under the pressure of British government and drowning in people's sorrows in Bihar. Professor Ajay Prakash Singh also mentioned in his speech that "Gandhi is a medicine for the first moving life". His views attracted me because I see and here around me honesty and right based approach is every time at risk . Most of the people try to get the maximum which is against GandhI's dream of new India. Gandhi ji rightly said " there is enough resources for everyone but not for selfishness". Gandhiji makes me feel to have a solidarity with poor and needy around me. I admire GandhI's simplicity, patience, passions, for people and country. Today a question arises that Gandhiji cared for us  but who is caring for his dream country India? I was also struck by his way of going, reaching out to the people in need. He also attracted me by his tremendous love and ability to see the future. The most important thing is his suffering while choosing the path of Satyagraha for the freedom of our country.

Conclusion:

I think that the seminar fulfilled it's purpose of celebrating this great and valuable event as well as bringing GandhI's views alive at this present education scenario. It is still relevant and useful today. By applying his teachings and walking on his foot steps, we could simply build a nation we want to see. He is rightly accepted as Father of our nation. His vision and views can not be cornered because they are pillars of our society and education. The program was very good. Each participant of that event honours Gandhiji for his contribution for the development of the country. I found this helpful and enjoyed learning about Father of our nation.
